Crisis Response Ministry Founder, Michael Loesch, Collin County Chapter Director, Gaye Gardner and Chaplain Glen Roberts were blessed and honored to attend the September 11, A Day of Remembrance in McKinney, Texas. The keynote speaker was one of Michael's fire service heros, Chief Rick Lasky (pictured with Michael Loesch). Chief Lasky is the author of the book, "Pride and Ownership, a Firefighters Love for the Job" as well as other books. The welcome was given by McKinney Mayor, Brian Loughmiller (pictured with Gaye Gardner, Michael Loesch and Glen Gardner). The invocation was given by State Representative Scott Sanford. The Presentation of Colors was given by McKinney Fire Department and Police Department Color Guard. The National anthem was song by Ronnie Taylor from the McKinney Fire Department. Present were retired members and current members of the New York City Police Department with memories shared by Gus Cabarcus, Retired NYPD. Tolling of the Bell was done by Travis Irick, McKinney Fire Department. The 21 Gun Salutewas done by the Collin County Sheriff's Honor Guard. Taps were played by Jess Christensen, CCSO. The Presentation of Flags was done by McKinney Fire and Police Color Guard and State Representative Scott Sanford. The Benediction was given by Michael Loesch, Founder of Crisis Relief Ministry. Closing comments were given by Chief Danny Kistner, McKinney Fire Department.
The ceremony honored the sacrifices that were made 15 years ago as well as the sacrifices that continue to be made. "We will never forget"!
